The opening of the Singkawang Art & Design Week event on March 3, held in Hong Kong Market, Singkawang. The event is attended by various young architect communities and universities, such as Cawan community, Tanjung Pura University and Polytechnic University from Pontianak. The head of IAI Kalbar, Roffi Faturrahman and creative director of Movindo, Hendy Lim gave their speech to encourage young communities to contribute to the city. Tjhai Chui Mie and Irwan, the mayor and vice mayor of Singkawang, also came to enliven the event and hoped that young architects can build a city for a better future.
SADW will be officially started in 2019 and will become the pioneer of the biggest art exhibition in Singkawang.
